Mondays we’re in love

Monday gets a rough ride. How can it compete with Floozy Friday shaking its after work drinks in your face, or Sexy Saturday with its lie-ins and fizzy brunch options. And then there’s Snuggly Sunday, roasting and wine-ing the weekend to its end before, boom: Monday Morning Fear.

But let’s consider the Modest Monday evening: while the mainstream busy themselves with spinning class and celery sticks, there’s a whole extra night to relish. And, here’s the best bit: this is the furthest you will ever be from a Monday morning.

To celebrate the magic of Mondays, we’re treating Club D&D members to 25% off their entire bill every single Monday.

Now step away from the spiralizer. Here’s how to spend it...

Bun fun at Aster

Slurp into the week with Aster’s Cinnamon Bun Martini, which is every bit as hygge as it sounds. Pair it with something hearty from our pre-theatre menu or chase it with a foraged cocktail or two.

Barrel of laughs at Royal Exchange

Negroni barrels are the way we roll at Royal Exchange. It means your cocktail is ageing right until the minute we pour it, and also means you won’t be waiting an age to get your hands on it. How better to wash down our big hunks of cured meat, sorry we mean ‘artisanal sharing boards’?

Sing it in Soho

Got a set of lungs that’d give Adele a run for her money? Or maybe you just fancy seeing the Next Big Thing while you can still get tickets? 100 Wardour Street is all about the Monday music, hosting open mic night on 18th October and established artists in the Live Lounge every week at Monday Marquee.

Peckish at Bluebird

Get your flesh fix with executive chef Simon Gregory’s new menu at Bluebird Café — because let’s face it, you probably had a salad for lunch. Grilled, skewered or diced tartare, whether you’re in the mood for meats, fish or cheeses; pick your protein and make sure you save room for puds.

Go wild at Coq D’Argent

seafood platter

This October we’re celebrating all things autumn with the #WildTable campaign and Coq D’Argent is jumping right in with seafood platters, game tasting menus and a 6-course truffle tasting menu. Definitely worth sniffing that one out.

Share steaks at Chop Houses

Share your post-weekend woes, steaks and wine at one of our Chop Houses. No, we don’t usually share our food either. But these chops are made for multiple mouths and with wine at retails prices on Love Wine Mondays it would be rude not to enjoy a bottle or two (nobody will make you share your wine, promise).

Cocktails riverside at Skylon

Toast the week ahead with our new cocktail menu — best paired with our hearty bar snacks. Better still, go the whole hog and try our Taste of the Wild foraging menu for the best autumnal produce and wild meats. Game on.

Waste not want not at Blueprint

We hate to see good food go to waste, so we’ve partnered with charity FareShare to create new dishes made from surplus food. You’ll get to try something new each visit and a donation from each dish will go towards the charity, too.

Fizz and fish at Kensington Place

Get your week off to a sparkling start with our oyster and fizz flights for £10. For extra indulgence, follow up with one of our infamous shellfish platters heaving with langoustines, mussels, clams and a few more oysters for good measure.

Split the dough at Radici

Share a handmade pizza and a glass of Peroni for £10 a head at Radici’s Mazzei Mondays. Go Dutch with a mate, or go wild and order two — you can afford to overload on the carbs, you’ve got all week to burn ‘em off.

Small plates at Sartoria

Have a lot of a little with our new cicchetti menu at Mayfair favourite Sartoria. Choose from dishes including deep-fried calamari with zucchini and chilli jam and aubergine croquettes. At two dishes and a cocktail for £20, why not try them all?
