Sartoria's Libare Bar opened less than a year ago, and is already one of savvy Londoners' favourite spots for cocktails. The all-Italian haven on Savile Row is all plush armchairs, Negroni twists and awe-inspiring bar bites, and it has a heated terrace to boot. It's upping the ante though, with a little help from one of Chef Patron Francesco Mazzei's friends...
Fellow Italian, Simone Caporale is one of the world's most respected bartenders. Before he left Artesian at The Langham last year, the bar was repeatedly named the World's Best Bar, sweeping the boards at the drinks industry's equivalent of the Oscar's, The Spirited Awards in New Orleans, with Simone himself being named International Bartender of the Year in 2014. Basically he knows his stuff and then some, but most importantly he's taking up residency at Libare Bar, every Wednesday from 28th September until 30th November 2016!
Simone has already created the bar's signature serve, The Savile Row Martini, which is inspired by the style and precision of the famous street's legendary tailoring, flavoured with a hint of Francesco's favourite ingredient: bergamot.
