THINGS TO DO IN LONDON THIS WEEKEND: 17TH – 19TH JUNE

At a loose end when it comes to the weekend ahead? We’ve got you covered with our top things to do in the city…

1. Pride

Pride at 100 Wardour St

Don your brightest, campest outfit and take to the streets this weekend for London’s biggest Pride celebration to date. Promoting #NoFilter and requesting that you ‘just be you’, the parade is made up of over 200 walking groups, floats and a line-up of live acts with everything from cabaret to the Gay Man’s Dance Company. Head into Soho for a post-parade meal at 100 Wardour St, complete with bottomless fizz or Bloody Marys, live DJs and a special Pride-themed cocktail. And for those lucky enough to score VIP tickets, keep your eyes peeled for their pop up bar at the tent in Trafalgar Square.

2. Night Tales

Night Tales

After two massive years of trendy East London street food and cocktails, Night Tales is vacating its Shoreditch home for greener pastures in Hackney Wick, kicking off from this weekend. Complete with a sun deck, private booths, two bars and a dance floor, these guys are sure to be responsible for a hangover or two this summer…

3. London Gelato Festival

London Gelato Festival

Despite the soggy start, we are determined that it’s summer and how best to welcome the season than a festival celebrating our favourite frozen pudding? Held at Spitalfields Market, £17 gets you access to try every flavour from some of Italy’s best gelatieri, with the idea being you vote for your favourite at the end. Sounds like a tough job… Warm up the inevitable brain freeze afterwards with a big juicy steak round the corner at New Street Grill.

4. Weekend Punk

Weekend Punk at Blueprint Cafe

This weekend we wave goodbye to the Design Museum, which is closing its doors in Shad Thames and throwing an epic punk-themed leaving party. Neighbouring Blueprint Café is joining in the celebrations with a BBQ and paying homage to 40 years of punk with a special Funky Drummer cocktail.

5. Bluebird Fitness

Bluebird pop-up fitness classes

If you’ve been stuck to the couch all week binge-watching Orange is the New Black with multiple Deliveroo orders, get yourself down to Bluebird on Saturday for its pop-up AMKonditioning Class. Designed to leave you ‘breathless and buzzing’ you’ll have that pizza burnt off in no time…
