We love them berry much

Nothing says British summertime like a big bowl of fresh strawberries and a dollop of cream in front of the tennis. But if you fancy giving this season’s favourite fruit a serious upgrade, our chefs have got you sorted!

Angler

Michelin-Starred Angler has just appointed a new chef, and we hear Gary is already working his magic in the kitchen. Just look how beautiful his wild strawberry Gariguette is, served with Brillat Savarin cream, black olive and basil!

Over on the Southbank, Skylon has put together a drool-worthy assiette of strawberries served with a champagne and strawberry sorbet, meringue and white chocolate mascarpone. They reckon a glass of sweet Moscato d’Asti from Vajra would make for the perfect pairing.

Le Pont de la Tour

If you’re on a pre-Summer health kick, pop into the Le Pont de la Tour Kiosk for a strawberry smoothie. Although if we’re honest, we’ll probably be opting for the not-so-healthy strawberry and Nutella crêpes…

Launceston Place

Our other Michelin-Starred venue, Launceston Place is going all-out fancy for the tennis, with a Taste of Wimbledon dessert: strawberry ragu, mango, crispy nuts and meringue.

Settle in to the Bar & Lounge at 100 Wardour St for a post-work cocktail, and tuck into a slice of its boozy strawberry cheesecake served with vanilla ice-cream, milk, vodka and biscuits. If you’re dining downstairs in the Restaurant, make sure you don’t miss the Gariguette strawberries with meringue and aged balsamic.

Orrery

Orrery has the right idea – dessert is always better with wine! The team is dishing out fresh strawberries, meringue and sorbet with a perfectly-paired champagne and rosé flight.

The rooftop at Madison is the place to be this summer, and its strawberry mousse with white chocolate basil biscuit and balsamic vinegar is definitely our dessert of choice!

Sartoria

Bask in the sun and close your eyes on the Capri-inspired terrace at Sartoria, and you could almost, almost be in Italy… Add to the effect with strawberries and Francesco’s fresh Amalfi lemon cream.

Coq d'Argent

And finally, no summer would be complete without a drink atop the famous roof terrace at Coq d’Argent! Treat yourself to a glass of fizz and their take on the English classic pudding, Eton mess, served with sorbet, mint meringue and pâté de fruit.
